Different Shirt Fabrics, Different Washing Methods

1 Silk shirt

The silk is very soft and smooth. It is best to soak for about 10 minutes before washing, but the soaking time should not be too long. Do not use alkaline water to wash silk. You can only choose neutral soap or neutral detergent. If you can only use a washing machine, choose gentle washing and do not spin dry, let alone dry, otherwise the silk will break easily.

2 Cotton shirt

Because plant fiber is resistant to alkali, acid, and high temperature, all kinds of soap and detergent can be used, and it can also be dried and dried in a washing machine. If the cotton shirt is stained, you can soak it in warm water for a few minutes before washing it off. However, cotton shirts are prone to yellow sweat spots. If you sweat in summer, you should take them off and wash them in time.

3 Wool shirt

In winter, some people will wear wool or shirts lined with fleece, but remember that wool is not alkali-resistant and must be washed with neutral soap and neutral detergent. It is best not to use a washing machine. Because the wool will shrink and deform after twisting and spinning, which is what we often say shrinks, and finally hang it in a cool and ventilated place to dry.

4 Viscose shirt

This is a shirt made of cotton and chemical fiber. It is resistant to alkali and acid and can be washed with any kind of soap and detergent. But it is not wrinkle-resistant. If you wring it out with too much force, the wrinkles will not be restored and flattened, and you can only iron them with an iron. So after washing, fold the clothes, press out the water and dry them.

5 Nylon shirt

Cotton shirts are relatively easy to wash, soak them in cold water for 15 minutes and then wash them with general detergent. The water temperature should not exceed 45°C. After washing, ventilate and dry in the shade, and do not expose to the sun.

In fact, all Shirt Fabric have one thing in common: they cannot be exposed to the sun. Because shirts made of plant fibers or animal fibers will deform after exposure to the sun, high temperature will change the structure of the fiber, causing irreversible damage, making the shirt hard and wrinkled, so avoid hanging the shirt in the sun.
